Buying

Before you reach for your card.

How does the trial work?

You open an account, install the app and use everything for fourteen days: nothing is held back. A payment method is registered at the start, but nothing is charged before the trial ends: cancel before then and you pay nothing. At the end of the period, your flights remain accessible and exportable.

What happens to my work if I stop subscribing?

Your flights belong to you. They remain viewable and exportable in the app's file format, whatever the state of your subscription.

Can I switch from one plan to another?

Yes, at any time, from the customer portal opened by the app. The change is prorated over the remaining period, and you have nothing to do with your data.

Are data updates charged separately?

No. AIRAC cycles, charts and weather forecasts are included as long as the subscription is active. There are no charts to buy one by one.

Is payment secure?

Payment is handled by Stripe, in your browser. The app never shows a card form: it opens a page hosted by the provider. No card data passes through the app or is stored on our servers.

Which device do I subscribe from?

From any browser, on the website's Account page, or from the app on macOS or Windows, which opens the payment page in your browser. The iPhone, iPad and Android versions do not sell subscriptions; once the account is subscribed, they benefit from it like the others.

What if a payment fails?

Access is not cut off on the spot: a one-week grace period gives the automatic retries time to succeed and gives you time to update your card.

Can I get an invoice in a name other than mine?

Yes. Billing details are independent of the pilot account, and the invoice history is available in the customer portal.

Start with a flight.

Install the app, plan your usual cross-country and compare it with the way you do it today. That is the best trial there is.

Aeronautical use

MAPAERO is a flight planning aid. It does not replace official aeronautical publications, an up-to-date weather briefing, or the pilot in command's judgement.
